Sets

Plan setlists for your services: create, edit, copy and delete sets, add songs and other items, and organise the team.

Sets

A set is the plan for one service, rehearsal or gig: what you'll play, in what order, and who's on the team. Everything in Live View and Presentations starts from a set.

New to sets? Creating Sets walks through your first one. This page is the full reference.

Your sets

Go to Sets to see every set in your space. Switch between two views with the toggle at the top:

  • List: newest first. Click Load More at the bottom to go further back.
  • Calendar: a month at a glance. Click a day to create a set on that date.

Everyone in the space can see and open sets. Creating, changing and deleting them is for editors.

Create a set

  1. Go to Sets and click Create new (or click a day in the calendar)
  2. Give it a title, such as "Sunday Morning Service"
  3. Pick a date and time, and add a description if your team needs context
  4. Click Create

The new set shows up in your list. Open it to start adding songs.

Sets can't be dated in the past, so the date picker starts at today.

CCLI license: if your space has a default CCLI license number, it's filled in for you. You can change it per set. It's used in the CCLI usage report.

Edit a set

Change a set's title, date, time, description or CCLI license:

  1. Open the ⋯ menu, either on the set's row in the list or next to its title once it's open
  2. Choose Edit
  3. Make your changes and click Update

Editing only changes those details. The set's songs, team and presentation settings stay as they are.

Copy a set

Copying is the quickest way to plan a service that looks like one you've already done. Copy last Sunday's set, adjust a few songs, and you're done.

  1. Open the ⋯ menu on the set (in the list, or next to its title)
  2. Choose Copy
  3. The title is filled in with (copy) added to the end. Rename it if you like, for example "Sunday Service – 14 June"
  4. Pick the date for the new set
  5. Click Create copy

Song7 creates the new set and opens it straight away.

What gets copied

The copy gets:

  • The title, date, time, description and CCLI license you entered in the dialog
  • Every song, text, post and section, in the same order
  • Song keys and item durations set in the set
  • Presentation settings (backgrounds, fonts, layout)
  • The team, with everyone's roles

Where a live presentation was paused isn't copied. The copy starts fresh.

Team members start as pending in the copy. Being available last Sunday doesn't mean someone is available this Sunday, so everyone confirms again. Use Notify Team on the copy's Team tab to ask them.

The date: if the original set is in the future, the copy keeps its date. If it's in the past, the date is left empty so you can pick the new one.

The copy is completely separate: changing or deleting one set never affects the other.

Delete a set

  1. Open the ⋯ menu on the set
  2. Choose Delete and confirm

Deleting a set can't be undone. Songs in your library aren't affected, only the set is removed.

What goes in a set

Open a set and click Add to add:

  • Songs: pick from your song library
  • Text: a free-text slide, such as a welcome, announcement or Bible reading
  • Posts: a resource from your space
  • Section: a divider like "Worship" or "Response" to break the set into parts

Reorder by dragging the :: handle on the left of each item. Edit or remove an item from its ⋯ menu.

Songs in a set are copies

When you add a song, the set gets its own copy. Changing the song inside the set, such as its key or a lyric tweak for this service, doesn't change the song in your library.

  • Keys: the key you set on a song in the set is the default for everyone viewing it. Musicians can still transpose or add a capo for themselves in Song Settings.
  • Exclude from presentation: text items and posts have a checkbox to keep them in the set for the team but leave them out of the projected presentation.

Durations

To plan timing, editors open the ⋯ menu next to the set's title and choose Show durations. Each item shows its length, and editors can click it to change it. The set's total is added up for you. Copying a set keeps its durations.

The team

Each set has a Team tab for who's playing and what they're doing.

Admins can:

  • Add member: pick someone from the space and their roles (vocals, keys, drums, …)
  • Add from Team: add a saved group in one go
  • Save as Team: save this set's roster to reuse on later sets
  • Notify Team: email members that they're on the set and ask them to confirm

Each member can set their own status: confirmed, tentative or declined. Everyone starts as pending. The attendance summary at the top shows where the team stands. Members who marked themselves unavailable on the set's date are flagged.

Running the set

  • Start opens Live View, the set as charts for the band, moving through songs together
  • The presentation button opens Presentations for projecting lyrics to the room

Tips

  • Copy, don't rebuild. Most weeks look like the last one. Copy, swap a few songs, and send Notify Team.
  • Plan 2–4 weeks out so the team has time to confirm and practise.
  • Use sections to keep long sets readable for everyone on stage.
