Space Administration
Keep your team organized. The admin section is where you manage who's in your space and how it's set up.
Getting to Admin
From any space, click Admin in the navigation.
What You Can Do
Edit Space Details
Change the space name:
- Go to Admin
- Find space settings
- Update the name
- Save
Invite Team Members
Get your team on board:
- Click Invite Members
- Enter the email address you want to invite
- Pick a role (Editor, Admin, or Member)
- Click Send Invite to email them, or copy the share link
They'll get an email with a link to join.
Important — invites are tied to the exact email you enter.
The invite link only works for the email address it was sent to. When the recipient clicks the link, they have to sign in (or sign up) using that same email. If they log in with a different email — for example a personal Gmail instead — the invite will be rejected and they won't be added to the space.
What if they want to use a different email?
They can't switch the invite to another address themselves. Instead:
- Decide which email they actually want to use
- Ask you (or another space admin) to send a fresh invite to that email
- They sign in with that email and accept the new invite
So before sending an invite, it's worth a quick check: "Which email do you want to sign in with?" It saves a back-and-forth later.
Manage Existing Members
See who's in your space:
- View all members
- Change member roles
- Remove members who've moved on
Member roles:
- Owner - Full control (that's you, if you created the space)
- Admin - Can manage members and settings
- Member - Can use the space, limited admin access
Create Teams
Organize members into groups:
- Vocalists
- Instrumentalists
- Tech team
- Whatever makes sense for your setup
Teams make it easier to assign roles in sets and communicate with specific groups.
Transfer Ownership
Moving on? Pass the torch:
- Go to space settings
- Select Transfer Ownership
- Choose the new owner from your members
- Confirm the transfer
Important: You can't undo this. The new owner will have full control.
Delete the Space
If you need to remove a space:
- Make sure you really want to do this
- Remove all members first (or they'll lose access)
- Go to space settings
- Click Delete Space
- Confirm
Warning: This is permanent. All songs, sets, and posts in the space will be gone.
Tips for Managing Your Team
Invite early - Get your team in the space as soon as you've added a few songs.
Assign roles thoughtfully - Only make people admins if they need that level of access.
Regular cleanup - Remove people who've left the team. Keeps things tidy.
Use teams - If you have more than 5-6 people, teams help keep things organized.
Communicate - Let your team know when you make changes.
Common Questions
Can I have multiple admins? Yes, assign the admin role to anyone you trust to help manage the space.
What happens if I leave a space I created? Transfer ownership first, or the space will be deleted when you leave.
Can I rename a space? Absolutely. Edit space details anytime.
How many people can I invite? Depends on the space's plan. Open the space's Settings → Billing to see the member limit or upgrade to add more.
Can I transfer a space that's on a paid plan? Not directly — downgrade or cancel the space's subscription (Settings → Billing) so it's on the free plan first, then transfer ownership. The new owner can upgrade it again.
